Rashad Al-Dabbagh

is a Saudi-born freelance writer of Palestinian and Armenian descent. He earned a Master’s Degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He currently works for the US Census Bureau as Partnership Specialist. Previously, he was the Associated Director of Access California Services, an Anaheim-based non-profit social service organization that serves the Arab and Muslim communities. While working as Assistant Campaign Manager for a county supervisor candidate in early 2007, he founded the Arab American Young Democrats to engage Arab Americans in the election process. Rashad serves on the board of the Network of Arab American Professionals of Orange County, and is the current Region Director for the California Young Democrats. While he was a student, Rashad established the Middle Eastern Student Society at CSUF in 2004 to create a voice and a presence to students of Middle Eastern descent on campus. Rashad’s op-ed articles appeared in various local publications including the Orange County Register and the Daily Titan. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and Armenian.
